Aaron Pennington, CPA

President

Aaron Pennington is the President and owner of Pennington & Associates CPA. He graduated with his bachelors and masters degrees in accounting from the University of North Alabama. He is a CPA with over 11 years of experience in the accounting field, working with clients across numerous industries.

Cynthia Hunt, EA

Tax Preparer

Cindy entered the accounting profession in 1981 as a part-time tax accountant but quickly realized helping others with their tax and financial needs was her calling. She earned her Enrolled Agent status in 1999. In 2005, she opened her own firm, Cyntax, which she ran until deciding to take a step back in 2025.

Monica Williams, CPA

Accountant

Monica is a CPA with experience in tax preparation and small business bookkeeping. She loves to find solutions to tax and financial needs so clients can spend time and energy on what they value.

Patrick Marsh

Accountant

Patrick has over 20 years of experience consulting with small to mid-sized companies from a variety of industries. With a Bachelor in Business Administration in Accounting & Information Systems Management, he is a valued member of the team.

Shirley Hilden

Tax Preparer

Shirley is a proud Air Force brat and has worked for the Army as a civilian for 35 years. Shirley has been a tax preparer for almost 20 seasons and has earned The Accredited Tax Preparer credential from the Accreditation Council for Accountancy & Taxation.

Ronnie Sams

Tax Preparer

Ronnie is a software engineer with a special interest in complex tax situations. He has been with the company for over a decade providing customers with excellent service. Ronnie maintains his standards with meeting or exceeding the required continuing education for tax preparers. He also has earned The Accredited Tax Preparer credential from the Accreditation Council for Accountancy & Taxation.

Kathy Boone

Accountant

Kathy has over 30 years of experience in accounting and a Bachelor in Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting. Her expertise in handling complex accounting and payroll matters has been a great benefit. Her prior experience includes helping develop custom accounting software for a local engineering firm.

Vicki Cunningham

Account Manager

With over 25 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping, Vicki provides us with a wealth of knowledge in small business accounting. She is proficient in QuickBooks. Her experience includes cash and accrual bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and all related reports.

Terry Derrick

Front Office Manager

Terry comes to us with valuable knowledge and experience from working in a tax office. She enjoys meeting and assisting our clients and spending time with her husband and children.
